DOGS and the CITY offers privately held classes in puppy basics, dog training and behavioural counseling.

The basis of all training is to enable you to have a healthy understanding of your dogs’ motivations and behaviours. Communication is very difficult if you don’t know how to 'communicate'.

Apart from helping you to understand why your dog does what it does, a basic knowledge of what drives your dog will allow for a more respectful and coexistent relationship.

Puppy Pre-School

Puppy Pre School is aimed at socialising and training puppies from 8 to 14 weeks old and educating their owners so as to start them both off on the right foot.

Four 1 hour classes

Puppy Basics

A series of four classes for dogs over 16 weeks of age, including housetraining and basic obedience.

Four 1 hour classes

Dog Training

Can involve up to six classes depending on the amount of training you and your dog have previously had.

1 hour classes

Behavioural Counselling

Involves carefully dissecting the problems that both you and your dog may be having. Many problems seem insurmountable, but can become less stressful with a little knowledge of both human and canine motivation and behaviour. The amount of visits required will depend on each individual problem, but two visits are usually enough.
